Doesn't Rove remember the Alan Keyes importation? Springfield is all blue, the Treasurer, the Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General, etc. Cook County is blue, the President, the Sheriff, the State's Attorney, etc. Chicago is all Blue. Our Senators are both Democrats, and the Alan Keyes move to change that went way South. We don't need Rove and his tactics learned from Lee Atwater in this State. Don't we have enough of a political circus going on in this State?

Rove: GOP can win back Illinois
February 24, 2009
The Associated Press
SCHAUMBURG - Republican adviser Karl Rove says the Illinois GOP can win back state offices in the wake of the impeachment of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich and the controversy around Sen. Roland Burris.
Rove made his assertion to several hundred people at a party fundraiser Monday night in Schaumburg.
However, the political adviser to former President George W. Bush told Republicans they can win only if they don't rip the party apart in next year's primaries.
Democrats hold all statewide offices in Illinois, a state that has leaned in the direction of Democrats in recent elections.
Although the fundraiser drew DuPage County State's Attorney Joe Birkett, who has expressed an interest in statewide office, the bulk of those attending were Republicans who hold offices in the villages, libraries, park districts and townships in Chicago's northwest suburbs
