Can we trust Dr. Simon?

Cook County's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Simon, appointed by Todd to cut the medical budget, also was one of his Dad's personal physicians who lied through his teeth on the real condition of John Stroger after he had his stroke. Dr. Simon's response was well, he looked good at first and then took a turn for the worse. But Dr. Simon never let us know when, supposidly he took a turn for the worse, or I really doubt he was ever honest about John Stroger's condition.
Neurologists, Cardiologists and the like resorted to sneaking in and out of Rush Hospital to avoid the press, why? Why didn't Dr. Simon come out and tell us he took a turn for the worse until after the July 31st deadline for an independent candidate to run? No Dr. Simon can't be trusted, but he is in charge of the health care outcome in Cook County the second most populous government in this Country. He and Todd do not have the fore sight to see that for every action there is a reaction. i.e., Todd: cut public defenders = longer stay for inmates, Simon: cut STD testing on incoming inmates = increase the STD cases + increase advanced STD cases needing more treatment. Of course there are many more examples of this, but their cuts will end up costing more in the long run, not only to the county but the state. An example of a state problems will be eliminating rehabilitation services for women prisoners that let them out at night to care for their childre = more children to go into State Foster care.

Todd only wants the Public Defenders to work 3 or 4 days a week. Todd you should be thinking of increasing staff at Cook County jail if this is the route you are going to take.

"it appears that Collins and Deborah Sims, who voiced similar sentiments, need to be reminded that the voters didn't put them in office to emulate Stroger's bad habits. They also are leaders of county government, and they should hold his feet to the fire on his hires and promotions, not fall back on the taxpayer-be-damned, I-want-mine ways that have so damaged county finances." Commissioners Collins and Sims

Go Bears!

And not Todd wants the public defenser to work 3 or 4 day a week. Todd is turning his own city into indenture servants. The cuts are not the answer. Hey nice pic. I see more hispanic businesses. Is that in your neighborhood?
